Is the Dusky Lorikeet right for Kundura's climate?
Kundura has a warm and humid climate, which means moisture in the air can encourage skin and ear issues if grooming slips. The Dusky Lorikeet is a small-sized, family friendly, good with kids breed, and with the right routine it adapts well here. Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats. Dry the coat and ears thoroughly after baths or rain to prevent fungal and skin issues. Through the long monsoon in particular, small adjustments keep your bird comfortable and healthy.

Raising a Dusky Lorikeet in Kundura: local climate
Summer here peaks in April at about 37°C. That is manageable for a Dusky Lorikeet: keep activity to the cooler ends of the day and a shaded, ventilated spot indoors.
Winters are cool rather than cold, with December nights around 11°C. A light sweater helps a small Dusky Lorikeet on the coldest nights.
The rainy season runs from June to September, and August is usually the wettest month. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.
For a new Dusky Lorikeet bird, the easiest months to arrive are February, March, October and November: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
