Sugar Glider | Grey

The Sugar Glider is a tiny dog, highly social, typically living 10–12 years. Central India runs hot and dry for much of the year, and that shapes the first twelve months with this breed more than anything in the breed standard does.

Health work is completed before listing, and the records travel with the dog.

Caring for a Sugar Glider in central India

• Heat: shade and water are not optional here. Move activity to the early morning from March onward.
• Training: loose-lead walking and reliable recall, both set in the first three months.
• Feeding: portioned to the adult size, with any brand change phased over a week.
• Exercise: two walks a day, and do not over-exercise a young dog while the joints are still forming.
• Checks: an annual vet visit booked before the hot months, not during them.
