Is the Blue & Gold Macaw right for Puri's climate?
Puri has a coastal tropical climate, which means the air stays humid through much of the year, so coat and skin care need attention. The Blue & Gold Macaw is a large-sized, family friendly, good with kids breed, and with the right routine it adapts well here. Stay current on tick and flea prevention, which thrive in warm, damp conditions. Brush regularly — humidity makes mats and tangles form faster in longer coats. Through the long monsoon in particular, small adjustments keep your bird comfortable and healthy.

The rainy season runs from June to October, and July is usually the wettest month. Keep the cage out of damp corners and change the paper daily.
